While watching an episode of The Biggest Loser, Jillian Michaels had a very inspirational moment. Her team was on the treadmills, sprinting at 8mph. She then told them to sprint at 12mph. With wide eyes, you could read the team's faces, "There's no way I can do that." But, they did. Then Jillian said, "You just went from 8 to 12. What else in your life are you doing half-assed?" Just makes you think a little. So, the workout tomorrow will be a little different. Ha!
Busy week at work (thank God)! I've got lots to do this week. I decided it was time for a little review for my student employees. Just want to get everyone on the same page and make sure we're doing things correctly. Want to be able to provide the best customer service possible. So far, I've been impressed with how much they know. So, that's good!
Monday was kind of depressing...after the heat wave last week, it was very chilly on Monday which meant no biking (except for the die-hards in OA who bike no matter what the weather is doing). So, I moved the workout to the treadmill. It was hell. Made me realize that you can't do the same workout constantly. After biking 35+ miles last week I thought I'd be good to go, but running and biking are two completely different workouts. I get so lazy on the weekends, I just need to pick at least one day and just go do something. So, that probably contributed to the Monday blues.
Today was day 1 of RTR's, as I'm calling them (Rec Trac Reviews). Today was also National Margarita Day. Since we can't have margaritas and then go back to work, we went to LaPaz and had Mexican food. A margarita sounded SO good though. Still does! When does a margarita not sound good? Tomorrow I've got a meeting at 9, then have bowling league in the evening. We're bowling my favorite team, so I'm excited. They're a fun group.
Other than that, I had a nice relaxing weekend. Friday, we rented the movie "Wall Street." It wasn't that good...I'm not really interested in the stock market, so just didn't find it that interesting. Saturday morning Becky's mom came to town to make mints for Raquel's wedding. Becky and I are mint-making machines. After that we showed her mom some of the houses Becky has been looking at. Two of the four places we wanted to look at were sold. Bummer. So that was kind of depressing, but we went to some open houses on Sunday and drove by a few places we'd like to tour. So, that's that.
Until next time,

Break out the Bike!!
With the February heat wave in full effect, it was only appropriate to break out Gary. He's been neglected all winter, and it was time to let his tires see the trail. So, that's what I've been doing the past three days. Tuesday it was sort of nice outside, so Tony and I only did about a 3 mile ride. Yesterday, 4 of us went on about a 6-7 mile ride. Today, 5 of us went on a 10 miler. It was awesome. It's 70 degrees in February, how can I pass up a day like that? Tomorrow the high is supposed to be 55, so we're going to do the route we did today, only in reverse. It should be a bit easier, seemed like a lot of uphill today. But, it was still good, besides having a sore butt. Hope everyone else has been able to enjoy the beautiful weather.
Until next time,

S.A.D. approaches...
Valentine's Day is just around the corner, or as I like to call it, S.A.D. (Singles Awareness Day). Cassie is coming to visit this weekend so we can, once again, celebrate being single. Who needs flowers, jewelry, and chocolates? Not us! Well....we do need chocolate, but that's about it. Chocolate, ice cream, and movies about perfect men who every single woman dreams of meeting...only to have our hopes crushed after the movie when we snap back to reality and are well aware that Romeo doesn't exist. So, a girls day/night out is what it will be. And it will be awesome.
Talked to madre last night. She said my poor little niece has RSV. She's so sick, I just feel terrible, not only for her, but for mommy and daddy too! No sleep for the Sups. So, get well soon Miss B! I thought my cold just came out of nowhere, but then I made the connection that when I went to JoAnn's to drop off her stuff I was kissing Brit and playing and all that jazz. Just spreading our germs to each other. How can I not love her up when I see her?!?? It's impossible, she too cute and too sweet. So, I'll deal with the cold, I'm just sad that she's sick too!
I took a sick day yesterday...all the meds I've been taking just had me in a daze. I planned on sleeping pretty much all day, but I was wrong. The apartment maintenance must be working on the place above me...it was SO loud, like I had my noisy neighbors back all over again. I had to leave the apartment for a while, so I got my oil changed and went to the grocery store. Then, I was wiped out...so went back home and got horizontal on the couch. That's pretty much how my whole week has been. Looking forward to another night full of sleep so I can be rejuvenated for this weekend! Woop!
Happy Friday to all!

a Leaky Faucet
That's the only way to describe my nose right now. I got this nasty cold on Monday. How I got it remains a mystery. One thing I do know is how bad it sucks. I literally wanted to rip my nose off my face today, as long as it would end the sneezing and nose-blowing. So annoying. I'm ready to feel better and for the symptoms to come to a halt.
In other news, my Steelers did not come out victorious in Superbowl XLV. You can't win them all, at least they made the game interesting in the second half. It's okay, they'll be back.
That's really all I've got right now. Just not feeling up to much of anything! Boo.
Until next time,

Well, it has happened. My neighbors are officially moved out. I'm now living in peace...like I should have been since July. I don't know how or why we put up with it for as long as we did...but it's all over now, and it's glorious.
What wasn't so glorious, however, was Becky's weekend. The poor girl has been through the ringer. Someone broke into her car and stole her purse. The genius thought it would be a good idea to break into her car with a huge rock...through the windshield. When that didn't work, they decided to go through the passenger side window. And, the rest is history. After waiting for the cops for about 90 minutes (due to freezing drizzle the previous night, people forgot how to drive) she filed the report and I met her on the stairs on my way to work. I decided to stay home and help her out in any way I could. Several phone calls were made cancelling all of her credit cards. We took her car in to get the windows fixed and it was time for some coffee. After a skinny vanilla latte and an extra coffee caramel frappe, we were good to go. Just imagine everything you keep in your purse/wallet and then suddenly, it's gone. There's a lot of stuff to do. So, to the person who stole her stuff, I can't wait for karma to come around. Man, that's going to suck for you.
Workouts have been going well this week. I feel like I'm finding my groove on the treadmill, finally. Used to be my least favorite piece of cardio equipment, now it's my favorite, as long as my legs hold out. Ha ha. I think the hardest part right now is food. That's always been the problem. Why does food have to be so good?
I wish tomorrow was Friday. It feels like tomorrow is Friday, so that pretty much means tomorrow is going to be depressing. I'm ready for the weekend. I'll be heading to Omaha on Saturday. Mission: Find a Purse will commence upon arrival. I need the sister's assistance.
